I remember when i saw it on the news when i was playing on my PC at . He also won six awards in Italy for gentlemen conduct. That only shows that he was a great player and even better person.

He is one of the most loved football players of all time. Many other players would go out of their club for a better salary. But Del Piero was not that kind of guy. He played because he loved the game, not because he wanted to become famous and rich. It this day and age it is very hard to find that kind of player. That is why Del Piero holds a special place in every real football fan`s heart. He even stayed in the club when they were thrown down to the Second Division after the scams considering setting the games up. You would not be able to find a player today which would stay in the club after his club is throw down a league, but Del Piero stayed because he was faithful to his club.
